Summary

Are you ready to act like you mean it, sing like you need it, and dance like no one is looking? Then You NEED to join CMT’s Stage School classes! Stop waiting in the wings and begin moving to the beat! CMT Stage School classes are age appropriate, 45 minute classes that meet for 12-14 weeks a semester on Tuesdays or Thursdays under the instruction of well trained teachers in vocal music, acting, and dance- the musical theater trifecta!

You know there WILL be drama…So whether you Act up, Dance Around, Stand up, Sing out, or Dress up … don’t forget to Sign Up for CMT Stage School classes today… before they Fill up! Fall classes start August 20, 2024.

Description

Classes will run August 20- November 21 and January 7- May 8 for students ages 3- 17.

Each class is $50/month

or you can use the “Triple Threat” discount and enroll in 3 classes for $125/month.

 

Enrollment is now open for the 2024-2025 School Year.  To reserve your spot, please pay a $25 non-refundable tuition deposit.  

When classes begin in August, your tuition deposit will be applied to your first tuition payment.  

You will have the option to select monthly billing or one time semester billing.

Middle/High School class options: Tap Jazz 101, Intermediate Broadway Dance, Vocal Music 201, Jazz Funk, Step it Up, Tap/Jazz 201 and Acting 201

5:15- 6:00    Bitesize M & M  (3yr- 1st grade) 

        Tap/ Jazz 101 Intensive (3rd grade +) 

    

6:05- 6:50    Vocal Music 101  (2nd- 5th grade)

        Intermediate Broadway Dance (6th grade +)

 

6:55- 7:40    Vocal Music 201 (5th grade +)

Jazz Funk (2nd grade +)

 

Thursday:

NEW CLASS: 4:30-5:15 Acting 102 (5th and 6th grades)

 

5:15- 6:00    Dance Foundations  (1st- 3rd grade)

    Step it Up Choreo (4th grade +)

 

6:05- 6:50    Acting 101 (2nd- 5th grade)     

        Tap/ Jazz 201 Intensive (at least 1 year of tap- 4th grade +) 

 

6:55- 7:40    Acting 201  (7th grade +)           

Elementary Broadway Dance

 

CLASS DESCRIPTIONS

Jazz Funk: funky style of dance for all ages including hip hop, jazz, lyrical movements.  From ballet-modern-hip hop- to lyrical, jazz funk incorporates little bits and pieces of other dance genres and wraps into a funky style that is both fun and expressive!  This funk class works to increase fitness, strength and flexibility     2nd grade+  

 

Step it up Choreo class: Step up your choreography knowledge! You will learn how to quickly attack new choreography sequences from a variety of different dance genres.  This class will help you practice learning choreography sequences quickly.   New style of dance each week.  You will help make up a dance as well and include some of those varied dance styles in the original class dance. 4th grade+  

 

Broadway Dance: Fun combo dance class exploring 4 different types of dance technique including ballet, jazz, tap, and hip hop based upon choreography from Broadway musicals.  Some opportunity to experiment with dancing as different characters.  2nd grade +

 

Tap/ Jazz Intensive: Combo dance class digging deeper into Tap and Jazz technique.  Focuses on using the dancer’s shoes to create percussive and rhythmic sounds while dancing to all types of music. Additional focus on strength, flexibility, leaps, turns, and stylization through warm ups, progressions, and combinations  3rd grade +

 

Dance Foundations: Focuses on basic steps, beginning combinations and dance terminology to lay a firm foundation for all dance styles.  Students explore their own creative movement styles through the use of imaginative music and games.  

1st- 3rd grade  


Bitesize Music and Movement: Focus on basic dance steps and terminology, beginning stages of rhythms and musicality, and creative body movement along with coordination. Rhythm instruments and props are utilized to recite short poems, sing songs, and explore storytelling.  3yrs- 1st grade
