Summary

Ready to act, sing, and dance your heart out? CMT’s Stage School is the place to shine!
Our 45-minute classes in acting, vocals, and dance give students the full musical theatre experience—guided by passionate instructors who make learning fun. Classes meet once a week for 12–14 weeks each semester, offering a safe, exciting space to grow skills and confidence on stage. Mini class sessions will be scheduled periodically throughout the year. We will announce them on social media as well. Once a class is scheduled, you will be contacted to check your availability for any mini class sessions that you have indicated interest for.
Stage School seasons run August to November and January to May, providing consistent
opportunities for young performers to learn, grow, and express themselves.

Whether you’re stepping into the spotlight for the first time or fine-tuning your talents,
Stage School is your ticket to performing, creating, and having a blast. Act up, sing out,
dance around, and dress up—grab your spot before classes fill!

Description

Classes will run August 18th - November 19th and will resume January 12th - until early May.

For students ages 3- 17.

Each class is $50/month or you can use the “Triple Threat” discount and enroll in 3 classes for $125/month.

 

Enrollment is now open for the 2026-2027 School Year.

Classes are $50/month due September 1st, October 1st, November 1st, January 15th, Feburary 15th, March 15th, & April 15th. 

You will have the option to select monthly billing or one time semester billing.  

Limited Scholarships are available.  Please fill out the scholarship form on the CMT website prior to the semester starting to be considered.

Bitesize Music & Movement

Tuesday, 5:15–6:00 | Ages mature 3 year old, 4-6 year olds (PK/K/1st) 

Give your little one (ages 3–5) a joyful introduction to music and movement through playful dance steps, rhythm games, and imaginative storytelling. With instruments, props, songs, and creative movement, they’ll build confidence while having tons of wiggle-filled fun!

Tiny Tappers

Tuesday, 4:30- 5:15 | Ages 5-7 year olds (K/1st)

Tiny Tappers (ages 5–7) will learn the basics of tap through upbeat music, playful combinations, and rhythm games that make learning feel like fun. Dancers build coordination, timing, and confidence as they discover how their feet can become their very own musical instrument! 

Dance and Acting Foundations

Thursday, 4:30- 5:15 | Grades 1 – 3 (ages 6-8)

Grades 1–3 (ages 6–8) jump into the exciting world of musical theater as they learn foundational dance steps, simple combinations, and fun theatre basics. Through imaginative music, games, and creative acting, students build confidence, discover their unique style, and fall in love with performing! 

Acting 101

Tuesdays 5:15- 6:00 or Thursdays, 6:00–6:45 | Grades 2 – 5

Grades 2- 5  will step into the spotlight in this Acting 101 class!  Students will explore characters, practice fun improvisation games, and bring stories to life on stage, building confidence while taking their first exciting steps into the world of theatre.

Vocal Music 101

Tuesdays, 6:45–7:30 | Grades 2 – 5

Grades 2–5 will sing, play, and have a blast in this Vocal Music 101 class! Students will explore the basics of singing, breath control, and performance while learning fun songs and gaining the confidence to let their voices shine.

Elementary Broadway

Tuesdays, 6:00-6:45 | Grades 2 – 5

Grades 2-5 dance your way down Broadway in this high-energy combo class! Dancers will explore ballet, jazz, tap, and hip hop inspired by iconic musicals, while adding personality through fun, character-driven movement.

JazzFusion

Thursdays, 6:45–7:30 | 2nd Grade +
Get funky with this high-energy dance class that blends elements of hip hop, jazz, lyrical, and modern styles. Students will build strength, flexibility, and confidence while learning expressive and exciting dance moves that bring out their inner performer.  Class size limit- 12

Tap 101/102 Intensive

Thursdays, 5:15–6:00 | 2nd Grade- HS
Step up and feel the rhythm! This class digs into tap techniques, teaching students how to use their shoes to create percussive beats while dancing to a variety of music styles. Focus will also be on strength, flexibility, and stylization through warm-ups, progressions, and fun combinations. Class size limit- 12

Tap 201 Intensive
Thursdays, 5:15- 6:00 | 4th Grade + (Prerequisite: 2 or more years of tap; Because of the increase skill level, an audition is required)
For dancers ready to deepen their skills, this intermediate class continues the exploration of tap techniques. Focus will be on intricate rhythms, stylization, strength, flexibility, and complex choreography to help students elevate their performance. Class size limit- 12

Step It Up Choreo Intensive with Advanced Dance
Thursdays, 6:00- 6:45 | 4th Grade +
Ready to tackle new choreography? This fast-paced class focuses on mastering different dance styles quickly while developing creative movement. Each week introduces a new style, and students will even contribute to creating original choreography for the class. Class Size limit-12

Partner Dancing & Lifts 

Tuesdays, 7:30- 8:15 | 4th Grade + (Prerequisite: 2 or more years of dance)

Explore dancing with a partner.  Focus will be on moving rhythmically together addressing leading, following, communication through body cues/ eye contact, and dance frame.  Partner dancing shows up in many dance styles including swing, waltzing, tango, and salsa. Short lifts and combination lifts will be incorporated

Advanced Choirs Audition Prep  (1st semester only)

Tuesdays, 4:30–5:15 | 4th Grades+

Take your singing to the next level and get audition-ready for Circle the State/Children's Choir, All-District, and All-State!  This advanced choir prep class focuses on vocal technique, range, tone, and confident performance, helping singers stand out in any audition. With personalized feedback and mock auditions, students will walk in prepared and shine with confidence!  (Audition entrance fees and music not included)

Vocal Music 201
Tuesdays, 6:00–6:45 | 5th Grade +
Enhance your vocal skills with more advanced techniques. Students will focus on harmonies, vocal projection, and emotional expression, helping them develop their unique sound and stage presence.

Acting 102

Thursdays, 4:30–5:15 | 5th & 6th Grades
Explore the next level of acting with deeper character work, improvisation, and audition skills. Students will build confidence as they learn to write scripts, present monologues, and take direction—all while developing strong communication skills for any stage.

Intermediate Broadway Dance
Tuesdays, 6:45- 7:30 | 6th Grade +
Take your Broadway skills to the next level! This dynamic class explores ballet, jazz, tap, and hip hop, focusing on choreography from Broadway shows. Students will also explore character movement for an extra layer of theatrical flair.

Monologues

Thursdays, 7:30- 8:15 | 6th Grade + 

Step into the spotlight and bring your story to life!  In this fun, confidence-building class, students will learn how to choose, memorize, and perform monologues while developing strong acting and storytelling skills.  Class size limit- 12

Acting 201
Tuesdays, 7:30-8:15 or Thursdays, 6:45–7:30 | 7th Grade +
Dive deeper into the world of acting with advanced techniques. Students will explore character development, improvisation, monologues, script writing, and audition skills. This class builds confidence and hones performance abilities for both large and small groups. 

Lighting Design  (Second Semester only)

Tuesdays, 4:30–5:15 | 7th Grades+

Bring the magic of the stage to life in our Lighting Design class!  Students will explore how lights set mood, highlight action, and create visual storytelling, learning hands-on techniques to design, program, and operate lighting like a pro. It’s your chance to make every scene shine! 

Tap Intensive 301
Thursdays, 7:30- 8:15 | 9th Grade + (Prerequisite: 2 or more years of tap; Because of the increase skill level, this class is for high schoolers only unless granted prior approval)
For dancers ready to deepen their skills, this advanced class continues the exploration of tap techniques. Focus will be on precision with intricate rhythms, stylization, strength, flexibility, and complex choreography to help students elevate their performance.

Step into the world behind the curtain and learn how a set goes from paper to stage! In this hands-on class, students will read set designs, help build scenic elements, and bring them to life with creative painting techniques.

Go beyond the spotlight and discover what keeps a production running smoothly! In this hands-on class, students will explore the basics of stage management and technical theatre, learning how to organize rehearsals, call cues, and support every moment behind the scenes.

Step into the world of costume creation, where creativity meets craftsmanship! In this hands-on class, students will explore costume design basics while learning simple alteration techniques to transform and bring characters to life on stage.

Bring imagination off the page and onto the stage! In this hands-on class, students will craft fun and functional props, learning techniques to design, build, and transform everyday materials into theatrical magic.

Step up your audition game in this mini class designed to go beyond the basics! Students will dive deeper into individual vocals, large group singing, dance callbacks, and character readings—building confidence, sharpening technique, and learning insider tips to help them shine on the CMT stage

Take your audition to the next level.  Sharpen your audition skills in this intermediate workshop! Students will bring a song of their choice and get personalized, real-time feedback to fine-tune their performance, build confidence, and make their first-round audition truly shine.
