Description

Stage School Mini Specialty Classes are designed to work on specific skills and/or develop children's interests in a short period of time. 

These classes are perfect for tuning up skills before an audition too! 

Each mini session is a bargain at $55.

Please note that in order for a class to make, we need 4 students to enroll.  You will be emailed to confirm the class's beginning status and billed with the first class.

Tuesday Sessions- January 20, January 27, February 3, February 10, & February 17

7:30- 8:15  Tap 301 (7th grade + only unless approved, must have some prior tap skills)   

7:30- 8:15  Partner Dancing & Lifts (4th grade +,  Prior dance required)  

 

Class Descriptions:

Set Construction and Design  
 12 years old +
For older students curious about set design.  Great for those who want to work behind the scenes of theater.  With guidance and supervision, students will work to build and paint set pieces for an upcoming show.   

Tap Intensive 301
7:30- 8:15 | 7th Grade + (Prerequisite: 2 or more years of tap; Because of the increase skill level, this class is for experienced tappers only)
For dancers ready to deepen their skills, this advanced class continues the exploration of tap techniques. Focus will be on precision with intricate rhythms, stylization, strength, flexibility, and complex choreography to help students elevate their performance. 

Partner Dancing and Lifts
7:30- 8:15 | 4th Grade + (Prerequisite: 2 or more years of dance)
Explore dancing with a partner.  Focus will be on moving rhythmically together addressing leading, following, communication through body cues/ eye contact, and dance frame.  Partner dancing shows up in many dance styles including swing, waltzing, tango, and salsa. Short lifts and combination lifts will be incorporated. .
